In Response to BamaGTM's 1/30/13 Post Pertaining to LSUGTM

What a day it's been as BamaGreeksThatMatter.blogspot.com continues to instigate commotion amongst the two rivaled SEC universities.

As my posts pertaining to BamaGTM addressed broad, interpersonal topics, BamaGTM's post regarding LSUGTM cited an outdated mishap that occurred months ago. Without going into too much detail, the story does not convey the subject's lack of insight into a particular fraternity's tradition. The social networking SNAFU was dealt with immediately when met by the eyes of a more experienced LSU Greek.

But what now? Do we sit back, and watch as we are plundered by the academically underwhelming university? I don't see that happening, which is why it became our mission to investigate Alabama Greek Life, so that we may also embarrass the opposition. The only difference between the following post and BamaGTM's post is that this issue has circulated the internet already, and the subject is a public figure, and therefore has surrendered her rights to privacy. The following situation has no doubt altered our view of Alabama Greek Life. Will it alter yours? Prepare yourself, Kristen Saban.

Kristen Saban, daughter of the devil, was involved in an altercation that led to a class-action lawsuit that was splashed across page four. The collaged photos to the left contain Kristen Saban, illustrating what top tier should not be like.

To our astonishment, we stumbled upon a lot more than we initially bargained for in the course of our thorough research on Kristen Saban. We will not be posting the material, but we actually came face-to-face with an extremely unflattering topless photo of Kristen Saban that she took. Although we will not be sharing this illicit content, we are sincerely remorseful in saying that we found it on the website Reddit. The NSFW photo, posted 22 days ago, has garnered 23,652 views, but comments on the thread suggest that the photo has seen the eyes of just about every Alabama student, dubbing it a “right of passage”.

Mentioned earlier, Miss Saban was involved in a hideously violent altercation that led a bruised, battered and wounded Miss Sarah Grimes to file a class-action lawsuit against Kristen Saban. The full 9-page filing (click hereto view full filing), composed by attorney-at-law Stephen Strickland, opens with statements enumerating caddy drama that could be likened to cyber drama circa AIM days. Items 1-30 depict the hours that led to the quarrel, in which the top tier Phi Mu girls partook in a YouTube drinking game (embarrassing), all the while, Kristen incessantly nagging about her boyfriend’s failure to pay her a sufficient level of attention. Once hammered and back home, Sarah found herself unable to maintain the suppression of her irritation, screaming to Kristen, “Kristen, please just shut up. We’re all sick and tired of hearing it.” To which Kristen retorted, “No one likes you, you don’t have any friends!”

Item 31 illustrates the mentality that an Alabama sorority girl held in the face of confrontation: violence. The remainder of the legal document describes what sounds more like an episode of the Bad Girls Club than should any exchange amongst sorority sisters. Kristen purportedly repeatedly punched Miss Grimes in the face, past the point of any conceivable self-defense. As Kristen continually pounded on Sarah’s face, onlookers grew fearful (for Kristen had a history of violent tantrums). When all was said and done, Sarah's temple had swollen to the size of a tennis ball, and there were allegedly puddles and puddles of blood across the house.

Long story, short: the ladies of a 'top tier' Alabama sorority resorted to violence in times of conflict. Violence resulting in hospitalizations and lawsuits. Miss Sarah Grimes alleges that the beatdown left her with "repeated night terrors, anxiety, physical trembling, fears of dying from brain injuries, trouble sleeping, and intrusive recollections of the event," and is seeking more than $10,000 in damages. Have sorority sisters of LSU ever had altercations? Absolutely. But do they resort to violence to resolve the issue? Absolutely not. There is nothing more common, more trashy, more ridiculous than a girlfight. Absolutely reprehensible.
