According to the LSU community, Delta Gamma, Kappa Kappa Gamma and Pi Beta Phi are believed to be the middle tier sororities. Therefore, Kappa Alpha Theta and Zeta Tau Alpha will remain in the bottom tier for the sororities of LSU. The rest of the rankings will remain the same.

According to the LSU community, the only change to the fraternity tier chart is that Sigma Nu should move up from the Lower-Middle Tier to the Middle Tier alongside Lambda Chi Alpha, Delta Kappa Epsilon and Pi Kappa Phi. The rest of the rankings will remain the same.

Middle Tier Poll

Following the addition of so many Zetas, the notion of a chart adjustment was brought to the table. I gave Delta Gamma a fair 48 hours to submit at least 15 siteworthy girls via email in order to maintain their middle tier status. Delta Gamma pulled through, and then some. In fact, there are a number of girls I have yet to add from Delta Gamma. So does that mean that Zeta should remain bottom tier? As this site has always done, we'll let you decide! History shows that in the past, the campus came to a clear consensus of who they believe deserves middle tier status.

The poll results to the left are from a poll performed on the site during the early days of Olivia Angelette. Immediately following the release of her tier chart (with rankings I agree with and continue to use), she allowed the Greek community to decide for themselves which sororities deserved middle tier status. (She also created a poll for a top tier vote). The results for the middle tier vote were unanimous. It is clear that the majority of the LSU Greek community felt that Delta Gamma, Kappa Kappa Gamma and Pi Beta Phi deserved middle tier status (which were the rankings that she had already indicated herself). Zeta did not even come close to a middle tier status. Theta came in last place with a solid 176 votes.

These results showcase a campus-wide decision for tier rankings. I will be recreating this poll. If the results are again in favor of the 3 sororities currently in middle tier, I will leave the chart untouched. In Zeta's defense, I will mention that the site has seen the addition of a number of Zetas. Zeta's sordid reputation is likely what keeps them from climbing the social ladder. After all, looks cannot determine rankings entirely.

The poll can be found on the right side of the blog! While you're at it, cast your votes to determine which of the fraternities below the top 5 are your favorites! The results on the fraternity poll will determine which houses deserve Middle Tier & Lower-Middle Tier. Those with the fewest votes will be placed in the Bottom Tier. Keep in mind that the results of these polls will be the deciding factors for the middle tiers! I have a strong feeling that the current rankings will hold up, but humor me. Get those votes in!

Is A Chart Adjustment Necessary?

Should there be a change to the tier chart? It's become apparent that there are a fair amount of Zetas who certainly impress! How is a bottom tier sorority filled with this many pretty girls? There aren't this many in Theta. Let's not get ahead of ourselves here, Zeta obviously won't be advancing VERY far in the tier chart for at least a few years or so, but maybe they don't deserve bottom tier? Zeta's many additions to the site have also drawn a spotlight on a Middle Tier sorority lacking in numbers: Delta Gamma. In fact, Delta Gamma has a total of ONE Greek on the entire blog. How has this gone on for so long?!

Are there Delta Gammas out there who, in fact, should be on the site? If not, how can they be considered middle tier above Zeta? I'm giving the Greek community 48 hours to produce at least 15 siteworthy Delta Gammas or I will be moving Delta Gamma to bottom tier and Zeta up to middle. To submit Greeks who you think matter, email names and pictures to LSUGreeksThatMatter@gmail.com.

The clock starts now!

Why You HAVE to be Greek

Hello, Tigers. It's become an emergent concern of mine, and apparently a number of others’ as well, that potential new members going through recruitment this fall may feel that dropping out of rush would be better than joining a lower-tier chapter.

Let me be explicit in saying: THIS IS INCORRECT.

LSU, along with Alabama, Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, Ole Miss, USC, Texas A&M, etc., are all schools of the South. This means that you must be Greek in order to have a social life. You will be astonished to find that not being Greek at LSU makes you unequivocally miserable. We all love the Bayou, and LSU has so much to offer a student, Greek or not. The fact of the matter is that Greeks without a doubt govern social order at LSU. Quite literally, actually, because the predominantly Greek 'Unite LSU' ticket is now in control of the LSU student government. It's plain and simple: if you wish to experience the full college experience at LSU, you have got to be Greek. The decision to be a GDI, is the path to collegiate mediocrity.

Potential New Members, I’d like you to do the following:
1. Go to the LSU Class of 2017 facebook page. (Click here to view)
2. Scroll through the posts.
3. Take a close look at the people who’ve posted on that page. Notice how they’ve embarrassed themselves beyond comprehension by doing things such as: asking the facebook group for social plans, sharing useless, ridiculous stories that aren't the least bit entertaining.
4. Now, think about how these posts make you feel: amused, and confused as to how these people aren't mindful of how much they’ve humiliated themselves.
5. Now please know that every single one of these absurd beings is a GDI. They are simply unfit for Greek Life, and that's why they aren't Greek. They aren’t Greek, because they CAN’T be Greek.
DO NOT allow yourselves to be categorized alongside these ordinary individuals because you didn’t get the sorority that you wanted. You will find your place in Greek Life, just as so many others have. You will sincerely regret the decision to drop out of rush. So many Greeks are unable to find an acceptable Non Greek, and therefore they stopped trying and stick to their own kind.

The only exception to this post would be if you were not a proper fit for Greek Life. In that case, you will certainly discover this during recruitment. My intent in continuing the legacy of the fallen LSU Greeks That Matter blogger is so that PNMs may know the reputations of each chapter. It is important for girls to know what each house is known for, BEFORE joining that house.

If lower-tier chapters are bothered by this website, and claim that it is inaccurate.. shouldn’t they be thanking me? If this site were to cause PNMs to pursue other options, wouldn’t that be the perfect filter for these lower-tier chapters? They clearly don’t want girls who would concern themselves with tier-rankings. Therefore, everyone wins.
