January 18th Remarks

The preceding posts contain the most prominent Delta Zeta ladies of the 2012s listed here.

Did we miss someone?
We implore you to take a look at the pledge class yourself by clicking here and scrolling to the Delta Zeta list.

In regards to the wave of criticism I've harvested throughout the course of managing this blog, I'd like to address, but certainly not dwell upon, a few topics.

The photos used to glorify the men and women featured on this site:
I'd like to invite all those unfamiliar with the Facebook Terms of Use Agreement  that each user is required to accept upon creation of his or her Facebook account to read further. Assuming that the majority of the Facebook community agrees to this code of conduct without actually reading any of it, allow me to enlighten you on the photo privacy policy. Upon upload, your photo is public information. There are certain facebook privacy settings that will enhance the suppression of a user’s information, but the material still exists on a Social Networking site.

Every individual featured on the site is of legal age. If they were underage, or maliciously targeted in a negative light alongside their photos, I would better understand the facebook privacy argument.

Every negative comment that has been/will be posted onto this site has already been/will continue to be removed immediately. We've even taken it under consideration to utilize the comment moderation feature of this site, to mitigate the presence of harmful material within comments altogether.

The only post that might strike viewers as malicious in nature, would be the ΣΑΕ post. The post, centered around the very public controversy surrounding ΣΑΕ's social probation/campus banishment, was in response to an article on the popular social media website Total Frat Move. The article offered commentary on LSU's press release statement saying that the hazing involved was "sexual in nature". However true this statement, there is obviously room for elaboration. TFM decided to make an assumption that misrepresented the scenario and poorly depicts LSU Greek Life. My response post was strictly intended to address (and successfully does so) the article's flaws.

Finally, the tier chart that singles chapters out:
Unfortunately, there are always going to be facets in life that will divide a community based on some trait. A sorority is a public society subject to unrestricted, public scrutiny. I'd like to remind readers of the website GreekRank.com, a website holding content that eradicates each chapter of LSU Greek Life. The site allows anonymous commenters to go into detail as to why they believe a chapter is good or bad. A website that can accurately communicate the 'behind-the-scene' traits of each chapter is Greeks.lsu.edu.

As I've said in posts-past, if the site does not appeal to you as it does to others, I'll highlight a browser tool that should solve this silly issue.

Until next time,
Geaux Tigers GRΣΣK!
