Forging Way to New Beginnings

It's with the utmost pleasure that I declare the return of LSU Greeks That Matter.

I'm even further delighted to inform all of the new leadership behind the site. It's no secret that the originator of this unique site was publicly exposed (via BamaGreeksThatMatter). It's been an LSU hacker's dream to gain access to this site, whether their intent be site deactivation or site invasion. Luckily, my intent has always been the second option. I am truly distraught over the prior site-runner being so widely ruined.. but with the revelation of a name behind the site, a plethora of opportunity arose.

It was rather challenging to learn much of anything about the woman behind this site, seeing as she deactivated every social networking account that she had following her coverage. But I was delighted to find that her mylsu password was the exact same as the password to this site, the gmail account and the twitter account.

How her mylsu password came into my possession will not be divulged! Maybe I have a peer who works for LSU, and therefore has access to student account information? Maybe I knew she-who-must-not-be-named and therefore knew her password as well? Maybe I am the very girl I am talking about, and I just want to continue my legacy? The bayou may never know, but what should be known is that the site will presume operation.

My first order of business: the removal of certain Greeks who really don't matter. There were a number of undeserving individuals on the site who are no longer featured. I will not be sharing these names because they simply aren't worthy of discussion.

Additionally, there were a number of "Greeks That Matter the Most" who really weren't appropriate candidates for such titles. I selected more aesthetically appealing photos and relieved the site of the pixelated, messy collages previously used.

Tri Delt has seen the addition of Annie McDermott to the collage. A young lady whose decisions have proven questionable previously filled the spot. She was also a dismal presence in the Tri Delt community (instead a more vigorous presence in the Tiger Land community).

Delta Zeta has seen two new additions to the collage: Elise Nieser and Kaelah Cobb. We're not quite sure why the original candidates were so misrepresentative, but we assume it had something to do with the fact that the original site-runner was a Delta Zeta. Maybe, just maybe, she chose questionable DZs in an attempt to throw off suspicions that DZ was behind the blog from the start? Whatever the case, order has been restored to the Delta Zeta hierarchy on this site. The blonde who was removed should spend less energy taking selfies for instagram and Facebook (and irritating the majority who know her with her annoying and chatty nature) and more time building relations with those within her sorority. The brunette who was removed should….. well, who even was she? Did anyone know her? Brittany Styacich will be reprising her role, being the only deserving Greek on the original Delta Zeta collage.

There were also changes in the KA and Kappa Sig collages. I certainly have a more accurate understanding of the Greek community at LSU.

PNM Q&A

For those who don't know, PNM stands for Potential New Members. That is a term for a male or female participating in rush. Having said that, this site is crawling with PNMs! This blogging service reports certain statistics to us on our home page. One of which is a list of "Referring Keywords" that were entered into search engines that brought an individual to the site. Many of these searches were along the lines of "best sororities at lsu", "tri delt reputation at lsu" etc. This can only mean one thing: rushee curiosity currently provides the most traffic to the site.

It is for this reason that I've decided to create an anonymous platform for PNMs to ask questions about Greek Life at LSU. The anonymous Q&A website ask.fm allows you to do just that.

Have any questions about rush? Questions about sororities in particular? Anything at all, and I will answer your inquiry to the best of my ability! Answers to questions will be posted as often as possible! The Q&A widget has been posted to the right. Ask anything!
